How to set up Xtream IPTV on Firestick
Install a player, enter your Xtream Codes login, and watch. The exact steps for every current Firestick and Fire TV, with the settings we use on our own.

Xtream IPTV on Firestick in five steps
It takes about ten minutes the first time. You need your Firestick remote, your Wi-Fi password and the Xtream login we sent you.

Install Downloader from the Amazon Appstore
On the Fire TV home screen go to Find, search Downloader (the orange app by AFTVnews) and install it.

Allow Downloader to install apps
Go to Settings › My Fire TV › Developer options › Install unknown apps and switch Downloader on. If Developer options is hidden, open Settings › My Fire TV › About and click the device name seven times.

Download your player from its official site
Open Downloader and type the official download address of TiviMate or XCIPTV, as published by the developer. We send the current address on WhatsApp because these links change.

Install, then delete the installer file
Click Install, then Done, then delete the downloaded file when Downloader offers to. It frees space on the stick, which matters on 8 GB models.

Add your Xtream login
Open the player, choose Xtream Codes, enter the server URL with its port, your username and password, then pick Next. The channels and guide load in about a minute.
Best TiviMate settings for Xtream IPTV
- Playlist › Update on start: on, so new channels and events appear on their own.
- TV guide › Update interval: 24 hours. More often just slows the stick down.
- Playlist › Manage groups: hide the countries you never watch. A list of 2,000 channels feels far faster than one of 22,000.
- Playback › Buffer size: medium. Large buffers delay live sports for no gain.
- Favourites: long-press a channel and add it, then set Favourites as the start screen.
Fixes for the common Firestick problems
- “Login failed” or “Invalid server”. Check the port after the colon in the server URL and that there is no space at the end of the password. More fixes in the login guide.
- Guide is empty. In TiviMate, go to Settings › EPG › Update EPG. The first guide load can take two minutes.
- Storage full. Settings › Applications › Manage installed applications › clear cache on apps you do not use, and delete leftover APK files in Downloader.
- Picture freezes during big games. Switch to the 5 GHz network or an Ethernet adapter. Message us during the game and we can move you to another stream source.

Which Xtream IPTV player is best for Firestick?
TiviMate. It has the fastest channel switching and a cable-style guide on Fire TV. XCIPTV is the best free alternative and runs well on older, low-memory sticks.
Are Firesticks blocking IPTV?
Amazon has started blocking some sideloaded apps that it links to piracy. General-purpose players such as TiviMate and XCIPTV, which come with no channels, have not been the target so far, but Amazon can change its rules. If a player stops opening, a Google TV stick or Android TV box runs the same apps.
Does Firestick still work for IPTV?
Yes. A Firestick with TiviMate or XCIPTV is still the most popular way to watch Xtream IPTV in the US and Canada. Keep the player updated and install it only from the developer's official site.
Which Firestick works best with Xtream IPTV?
The Fire TV Stick 4K Max or the Fire TV Cube. They have the Wi-Fi 6/6E and memory to switch channels quickly and play 4K. Older Lite and 3rd-gen sticks work but are slower with a large channel list.
Why isn't TiviMate in the Amazon Appstore?
Many IPTV players are not listed by Amazon, so they are installed from the developer's own website using Downloader. That is normal and safe as long as the address is the official one.
My Firestick says “Install unknown apps” is not available.
Amazon hides Developer options on newer software. Go to Settings › My Fire TV › About and click the device name seven times; Developer options then appears.
Do I need a VPN on Firestick?
It is not required to watch. Some people use one for privacy, and a VPN can help if your internet provider slows down streaming during big games. If you use one, pick a server close to you.
How do I stop buffering on a Firestick?
Clear the player's cache, use the 5 GHz Wi-Fi band or an Ethernet adapter, hide channel groups you never watch, and restart the stick once a week. These fix most buffering we see.
